February and March 2023

For meditation please use “Am I doing more of the things that keep me alive, or more of the things that make me feel alive?  What makes me feel alive?” for February and March.  Being alive is beautiful!  Let there be breath.

February as a month of love with Valentines’ Day.  Did you know it was the day of St. Valentine?  For me Valentine's Day is and can be every day.  Being love allows us to do this.  Love comes in many forms.  The act of giving cards for our neighbors or those that may not receive any or even to friends and family is part of karma yoga.  Karma yoga to spread love and good in the world through action.  Love sparking a moment of joy, care and divine connection when the gift is given.  I so enjoyed the story of cards being made and shared across the area.  Sending Valentine’s Day cards brought me joy when I was in a less enjoyable place mentally and found a spark through a smile when I found a Valentines’ Day card for each of my family members.  It was a moment that lifted my spirits in giving and thinking of each of them as well.

February was also black history month.  Many forms of bringing peace after the impacts that have occurred on the earth by a race of human’s actions.  What if the same were to occur between dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, or even mosquitoes?!  In the end this leads me to another reminder that we are all one, yet unique in our being.  And to continue a mantra of all are welcome.

March carries luck and connection to green of the heart chakra.  Another round of love and connection.  For me personally a connection to some Irish roots and the gift of a full rainbow bringing awe during a moment of vacation last year.

March is also Women’s history month and International Women’s Day where we can celebrate women and the gifts brought to humanity from female beings.  Through which we have grown, developed, been nurtured, and connected across the world (and even in space) as human beings.  May we all connect and work towards equity for all with both a masculine and feminine energy within us all.

The Westclox Wellness and Metaphysical Fair was a success.  Thank you to those who were able to attend, to those who volunteered and helped in any way on the 25th of February.  It was truly a blessing to see us all come together.

Enjoy and Encourage (E&E) hosted a movie night in February.  There are more events coming up and all are welcome to join.  Send me a message if you are interested in doing new things, encouraging others and enjoying time together.  In March we will be celebrating the Spring Equinox!  For the equinox members from yoga are also welcome to join virtually.  Please let me know if you or someone you know is interested and I can share more information about it.

The book club finished reading Uninvited by Lysa Terkeurst.  It was heartfelt and brought up some wonderful discussion, memories, and forms of love. You’re welcome to join book club on Monday evenings at 7:30 pm central time in person or online if you’re interested as we start our next book.

In love, with love, as love,

Emily
